Ingredients:
- 2 cups of pinto beans, or the amount of beans that fit halfway in the saucepan
- 1 tbsp of salt
- Water
- Saucepan
Steps:
- Clean beans in a water filled pot and take out loose flakes and rocks
- Replace water (enough water to cover beans)
- (Optional) Put half of an onion in the pot
- Put medium heat on the stove
- When water gets low add more water
- When the beans start to look cooked, but not completely cooked, add salt
- Keep letting it boil
- Make sure beans are soft before turning off the heat
- Move beans around then taste beans for softness and taste bean juice for flavor. According to taste, add salt.
