Pinto Beans Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of pinto beans, or the amount of beans that fit halfway in the saucepan
  • 1 tbsp of salt
  • Water
  • Saucepan

Steps:

  1. Clean beans in a water filled pot and take out loose flakes and rocks
  2. Replace water (enough water to cover beans)
  3. (Optional) Put half of an onion in the pot
  4. Put medium heat on the stove
  5. When water gets low add more water
  6. When the beans start to look cooked, but not completely cooked, add salt
  7. Keep letting it boil
  8. Make sure beans are soft before turning off the heat
  9. Move beans around then taste beans for softness and taste bean juice for flavor. According to taste, add salt.
